
In and Around Gourdon

Grottes de Cougnac. Discovered in 1949 and 1952, the two caves have been open to the public for sixty years. with paintings dating back 30,000 years, they are among the oldest figurative drawings open to the public.
La Foret des Singes. An enjoyable wander amongst more than 150 free roaming Barbary Macaques. No bars, no cages, and with a handful of popcorn given to you at the entrance - feed the monkeys face to face!


Salviac Agricultural and Automobile Machinery Museum. Witness the traditions of everyday life through a collection of more than 200 cars, motorcycles, tractors, hundreds of agricultural machines and tools.
Reptileland. An amazing collection of reptiles exposed in daylight, and also the largest in France in venomous species ... Snakes, turtles, lizards, crocodiles, tarantulas, and Scorpions, in a covered and air-conditioned space.


The 'Maison du Piage'at Fajoles offers a journey back in prehistoric times between
40 000 and 30 000 years before our era, in the footsteps the last Neandertals and early modern humans.
La Foret des Ecureuils near Sarlat, offers an action-packed few hours in the treetops, tackling some challenging obstacles. Suitable for the whole family, with special activities for really young kids from the age of two and up.
